Tire Options

Looking for tire options for a daily driver in south Louisiana (no snow ever but we do see a good amount of rain).
Looking into these:
Continental DSW06 - 275/40 Front & 295/40 Rear
Nitto Motivo - 275/40 Front & 315/35 Rear
BFG g-force comp-2 a/s - 275/40 Front & 305/35 Rear

Continental DW are very good. I have them in 275-40-20 and 315-35-20. No rubing great traction dry or wet.

The DWS is a really good all-season tire.

Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.

Why not summer performance tires? Seems to me you are in no needs of all season tires...?

That would work too. I just want something that looks good, has decent tread life, performs well for street use, and QUIET.... The G-Max tires I have now are SO LOUD.... Ideally I would want 275/40 fronts and 305/35 rears because I have 9" / 10" staggered setup. I may end up going 275/40 square????

I agree. Great in the rain and very good dry grip for an all-season, not to mention quiet and the best tread wear of any tire I've tried. I'm moving to drag radials now though, since I don't DD mine anymore.

Had the DWS and had no problems. The DWS 06 should be a lot better.

I'm running the Motivos 275/315. I have the same wheels as you in 9s and 10s also. The Motivos seem to run a little narrower than other tires so they work great with this wheel set up. I have had the tires on for about 12K miles. No problems, no complaints. Much better than the stock Pirellis for ride, handling and traction. Great tires IMO. Ultra High Performance tire at a good price. I got an excellent deal on mine when I bought them.

I can post pictures if you'd like..

I don't think those Nitto 315/35 will fit right on the rears says 10.5-12.5 width rim range.

Not ideal but like Proz11 said he has been running them on the same wheels for a while now. After thinking a lot about tires the last few weeks I am not sure if I want to go with an A/S tire. I said it was a DD but that isn't true. The car stays locked up 2 weeks every month while I am away at work and I only take it out on nice days the other 2 weeks I am home. So it might see the streets 4-6 days a month. Thinking of going with a summer performance tire instead now in a square size all the way around now that I have installed the 1LE suspension. Probably go 275/40 on all corners. I would love to go with the MPSS's but they do not have that size. Currently thinking about the ExtremeContact DW, P Zero, G-force sport comp-2, Ecsta ps91, or Invo.....

Whatever you do. Do NOT put 275-40-20 all the way around if you have 2 different size width wheels on the car. The rears will look so stretched and stupid. The correct size to match the 275-40- would be a 315-35
