Gm cold air intake

I bought the Gm cold air intake off eBay. Decided to just not worry about warranty issue with other brands. I have 8k miles on my 2017 camaro ss. Dealer charged me 40 to install and put a tune on it, I was shocked at price. I have to say I noticed a difference.

Nice! What kind of difference and was it quite significant?

Does the engine sound different/louder? Is there a little better throttle response?

Definitely an engine growl and throttle response is better.

I have to concur. The CAI gives a significant sound difference and opens up the engine more. I doubt it adds much power on paper, but you can tell the difference as soon as you start it up.

Is the sound difference a higher pitch or exact same tone just louder?

It’s a CAI Inc kit without the CAI Inc logo on it, so I’d expect great things from it. I will be getting one for sure.
