How do I find out? Do I type the VIN into some website to get the build

Send an email with your VIN to socialmedia@gm.com and request a build data sheet for your car, it'll show your manufacturing date along with every option code the car was assembled with.

I've had mine back since getting Bulletin 18-NA-355 performed. My invoice mentions: "torque converter shudder with pico scope 39.4 hz 66 mph 1528 rpmin mode a and shudder not present in mode b". I've put just over 100 miles on it since then and it really does feel like a whole new car now. Shudder is gone and the shifts feel completely different than they did before. Hoping things stay this way for many more miles.

GM was supposed to announce a fix for the A8 8LE90 in the first quarter of 2019. Well the 1st quarter ends in 2 weeks and I haven't heard a peep. Has anyone heard anything or have they shutdown all attempts to fix in the wake of the pending class action?

What is this pico scope all about?

Do they take your car out for a drive with a measuring device attached
some part of your car or do they get this info from plugging into your
ECU port and pulling codes?

This is what happens when GM screws over their customers for
5 years straight by refusing to admit and fix their f'ed up crappyA8:

It measures the vibrations from the TC. The only way they will do this new flush, is to have vibrations show up on the picoscope, otherwise they will not do it.

Yeah, they put 26 miles on the car while they had it - assume some was with the pico scope and some was after each drain/fill until the flush was complete. I'm mostly interested in what "mode b" was that didn't exhibit the shudder.

So the dealer drives the car 5 miles and can't measure a vibration because
they don't drive the car in a manner that would allow it to happen. Then
they proclaim the car is normal. Just Brilliant.

BTW: I dealer I took the car to had never heard of shudder and I had to
show them the bulletin on my laptop. After that they were skeptical that
it was a real issue and said no one has ever brought a car to them to diagnose
something like this.

Mine had about 40 miles on it when done. They had to drive it and diagnose it first with the Pico scope. Then after the fluid exchange.

Then it's time to find a new dealer.

Pretty sure mine didn't actually test it. (I'm fine with that) Mileage was barely changed, and the roads we're nasty that day but the car was clean when I got it. Nothing on dashcam either, Besidess them pulling it in and out messing around under the hood, and driving up to their car wash but didn't go in, just backed away and parked it.

I'm sure they changed the fluid, it had the horrible first few shifts when I got it a lot of us have had, and vibration was gone after.

The hilarious part, is that GM hasn't changed their styling, like it matters. Many people say this, implying that's why it's third in the pony car race. To these people, I have one simple reply.

LOOK AT THE CHALLENGER!

From what I was told and read, GM wouldn't cover the tsb if the dealer did not show proof...but who knows, this whole A8 issue is crazy!
