Guys,

Is it possible to buy from GM a 100 000 miles warranty on the Camaro ?
The cheapest one I found has 44 000 miles (made in 5 month !!!) which means I have only 16000 miles covered for engine warranty...

Thanks

If you can get it as a certified used chevy they have 100,000 mile powertrain.

But still I would buy it with 44k miles in 5 months... no one knows what maintenance has been done to it. Unless you can get a proof that it was maintained properly.

I bought it to DD during the better weather months. I think it makes a great DD. You can get a lightly used 17 1SS 1LE for about $35k. It's a great value for the performance.

Trouble with getting a used one is finding one unless that area is different. I just did a FL wide search since my dad is interested in getting one but don't want to spend $40k. Not a single one turned up in my online search.

Carfax shows 5 oil changes, one each month...

You might also consider buying the cheapest good condition used 1SS you can find and then fortifying the parts that they did on the 1LE. We've been sorting this chassis since the 16 came out. If we can ever help, don't hesitate to reach out. 801.545.4215

Love to help!

Bought my 17 1LE with 1300 miles for 37k as a CPO car. Extends powertrain warranty to 6 years 100k miles. Also bought the extended bumper-to-bumper warranty from CNA that lasts 10 years 100k for 2k. (Doug DeMuro talked me into it...)

Being a track car and bound to live a life of hard work... I feel confident that I will get my money back.

Also verify what warranty plan you are looking at. Some will go to a predetermined milage of the car while others will be added on from the point it was purchased. For example if the car has 20k on it and the warranty is good for 50k the first type just stops at 50k. The other will be good to 70k.

Guys,

For a 44000 miles Camaro SS 1LE, 05/2017 what would be a correct price ?
The dealer wants $32.5K for it, I think it's way too expensive. What do you think ?

Chevy propose me +60K/5 years for almost 3k, it's expensive !!

That's a great question. I passed up a local 2017 SS 1LE with 35k miles, he was asking $30k. The seller had a good explanation for all the highway miles, but when you figure that most used 1LEs have very, very low miles, I decided there was no way I'd go for it. The fact this one is at a dealer would scare me away as well, because you have no idea what the previous owner did during all those miles. That's true of any used car, especially a dealer used car, but on a performance track car it means a lot more to me.

I don't have a good answer. The high mileage should put it under $30k in my opinion, maybe $28k? If they came down into the mid to upper 20s then it would be hard to say no. Or if it has new tires and they throw in the warranty and keep it under 28... I don't think that will happen though.

WOW, 44K miles is a lot in that time frame.

I think I would pull the trigger if the car was $30K with extended warranty included. Would have to sleep on it, I might actually be of the opinion it would need to be close to $30K out the door.

44 Kmiles for a May 2017 built car??
That is a big No-Go for me...

Plenty of other much much lower millage (~ 5 to 9 K_Miles) 2017s out there to be found for asking prices of 32-35K$ before negotiations.

Asking price is 33k, they don’t want to go below 32.5k for now.
It was at 35k not too long ago, it is for sale for more than 6 month...I would thought they would be keener on negociating at this point, but it seems not...

Yes the 44000 miles were done in 5 month !! Which tells me the car was not even tracked once, most likely highway miles..

I got my 2018 no pdr with 7k miles for 35k Plus tax tag title. I thought it was good deal at the time. It was posted late at night on autotrader, by next morning they had list of people interested. I drove 2.5 hours to buy it. Only regret is I wish original owner would have put on clear bra.
