Camaro 6 running with a 5th gen v8.
So because Im banned from Camaro 6 for hurting peoples feeling I just get to browse. There is a thread discussing where is the love for the v6. Im starting to notice alot of posts where 6th gen v6 owners are bragging how their cars can hang with a 5th gen v8. About .5 seconds 0-60 between the two I think is what they are saying if I remember. Any V8 guys get a chance to run one yet? Thoughts?

Stock for stock: 426hp vs. 335hp
I couldn't see it being much of a challenge for the 5th Gen SS.

I like that thread for the internet muscle flexing. Some of those guys would argue with a fence post.

More than that, they keep arguing that the V6 is a "sports car"

I mean... put the same driver in an L99 and an 8L45 LGX with similar trims (2LT against a 2SS, 1LT or LS against a 1SS) and options (sunroof, spare tire or not, etc) and tires (to remove theoretical grip as a variable) and see what happens. I'm sure the L99 will be faster but I'd be hard pressed to believe an 8L LGX would lose like the LFX that prefers to act like it's chained to the ground.
Anyone that buys a manual with the V6 is silly. (I say that as I bought a manual for my V6 and boy am I a silly bastard for doing it, though the 6th gen does have the better TR3160 in it than our AY6 Japanese garbage)
