Go for the dash insert. Only 80Yo on here complain about the glare. Antiglare treatments are available If you have sensitive eyes. I am very sensitive to light and the CF Dash insert does not bother me one bit

The problem with that dash insert is it doesn't match the rest of the interior....it's just a random piece of carbon fiber.

What do you see when you look out the window when you are driving? Carbon Fiber Hood insert? It would look funny without the dash insert. Need to match the insert just like the previous generation ZL1 did. Good thing comes in pairs

It looks really nice and passengers have really complemented It. Even females notice it. The previous generation ZL1 had an option for a carbon fiber insert on the passenger side.

if you want the carbon dash get it after the fact for 1/2 price through one of the vendors on here unless you want it listed on the window sticker as an option for possible value in 30 yrs. plus then you have both or you could sell the suede one and make the carbon one even cheaper.

It is a order option on Camaro from General Motors. Or you can purchase the insert and install it.

My car is a factory option & it is nice knowing that the dash has not been torn apart. I am sure there’s not much to install it at though. You only pay that price if you pay MSRP. On the vehicle invoice there is each option listed with MSRP price & invoce cost.

That carbon dash insert looks out of place and matches nothing else on the interior, probably on my next to replace/swap out .. not even taking into account glare, and reflective surface that beams sun right into your face. Luckily, leather or suede parts are reasonably priced.

You see, if my carbon fiber hood insert wasn't painted over black, and still showed the native carbon pattern, THEN my carbon fiber dash would match.

Unfortunately, my car has the carbon fiber on the dash but a painted hood insert. So, on my car, the dash looks out of place. Wish I had the same pattern on the hood insert, then it would match.

So, I have to agree with the other posters that say it is out of place.
