3 months? I find it hard to believe with current technology that your car is rusting out. I live in the Pacific Northwest. If they rust that bad then my car will be toast in a couple months as well.

Is it rusted out or is there just surface rust?

I agree and I am very concerned. The service guy couldn't stop pointing out corrosion. All over!

Can you take a picture of your rusted tires?

It's pretty odd, as I was just under my friends 11,000 '16 SS a week ago while we were installing new control arms, we live on the coast in Florida, I saw no rust...

It must have something to do with you running your car down into the mud...don't make a peep to your dealer about that. Pretty sure the rust/corrosion warranty is like 10/75 or more?

Corrosion on rubber tires and stainless steel exhaust...that would be a first.

They saw some mud up in the cracks and such. They wanted to call it an off road event. So I obviously needed to speak up so it wouldn't be classified as us going mudding in the car.

The rust on the exhaust is underneath. I promise you underneath they are not stainless steel. Thank you for questioning me though

Warranty

GM vehicles are designed and built to resist corrosion. All body and sheet metal components are warranted against corrosion for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Plus you’re protected even further from rust-through corrosion for a minimum of 6 years/100,000 miles (whichever comes first). Application of additional rust-inhibiting materials is not required under the corrosion coverage and none is recommended. See your GM dealer for terms of this limited warranty.
