Gas Mileage for Camaros

This is my first post at Camaro5, and I was hoping all of you Camaro experts could help out a happily confused future Camaro owner. I was curious what kind of mileage the LT's and SS's are getting. Originally I wanted to to get a 2LT, but the more I read, I feel like I have got to get an SS. I was curious if you guys may let me know what kind of fuel efficiency is realistic for these cars? Thanks and I really enjoy this site it is like a crack addiction. I get a little and I come back for more.

Completely depends on how you drive

Well lets assume your driving like Grandma, and just driving and not attracting attention. I can get close to 20mpg in my 5.3L on HWY driving 60mph.

I avg 18 in my LS3, 12 miles to work all back country roads. I just made a 500 mile trip to Maine and averaged about 20 @85 mph.

If you are in a lot of stop and go, it is really bad if you are in a less populated area it is decent. Of course all is dependent on how you drive.

SS and drive equally on freeway and city streets. I also will hit the throttle a couple of times while driving. My avg mpg is about 16.

15-17mpg in town and 21-23mpg on the highway. The SS is actually pretty good on gas I find. Better than my truck lol, 07 Tacoma.

20 MPG average in my LS3. 75/25 Highway/city driving. I use a little more than a tankful a week of 93 octane and have a 60+ mile roundtrip to work each day. Less than 2500 on the odometer so far.

I get 21.2 - 21.7 mpg's in my LS3 , with a mix of city and hwy

My last tank I went 344 miles and when I filled it up I put 16.1 gallons in it. which is 21.3 mpg.
