Bowtie (flowtie) mods

Ok well we all know chevy pretty much *ucked up the front of the 2019 camaro with the new bumper design with part of the bumper ALWAYS painted black no matter what color car you have.

Secondly they put the flowtie chevy emblem right in the center of the bumper and it was a shiny chrome ornament.

If you had a BLACK car then the bumper blended in with that but you still have to deal with the chevy flowtie emblem. Some people use a delete kit to remove it entirely but I chose to simply remove it and paint it gloss black to match the rest of the bumper so that it blends (see pic).

The REAR chevy emblem is not much better because in my case the emblem had a black center but it was outlined in chrome. So basically I removed it using thin weedeater line under the emblem and pulling through the emblem after heating it up with a 500 dollar hair dryer I comandeered from my unsuspecting wife. The GM adhesive is pretty hard to get off but I used GOJO and let it set for a few hours before removing it.

The picture of the rear bumper is picking up the reflection of the driveway in the paint so ignore what appears to be dirt on the car because there aint LOL

On the REAR emblem I lightly sanded it and painted it with a RUST-OLEUM SATIN black that is a paint and primer in one. It has a small sheen to it which I prefer. I then let it dry overnight and applied 3M double sided tape to the back of the emblem. There IS a top and bottom to the emblem, so look at the back of the emblem for the arrow so that you dont put it on upside down.

Looks good. I like the 19 design better then the 20+ however I agree that the chrome is a bit much. I used duplicolor shadow chrome on mine and love it. Still has a chrome look but not as bam in your face lol.
