That new HHP Ecoboost Mustang may be a beast.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.aut...-turbo-v6-1le/ It's a fat pony though.
If GM's responds may be a sign they won't kill it again.

I'll believe 4.5 seconds 0-60 when I see it for real

Interesting - the EB Mustang is still 200lb heavier than the v6 Camaro, and 300lbs heavier than the Turbo Camaro. I wonder how that affects handling, autocross, track.

I believe the manual 0 to 60 time is legit being that the v6 1le is in the low 5s and the ecoboost has way more torque.
I can see being skeptical about the auto time but I don't see why they would post something so seemingly impressive if they can't deliver. Not to mention ford knows how to program the a10 to get the most out of it and isn't afraid to include a drag mode. I know it'll get dusted at higher speed but crazy how an a10 hhp ecoboost is pretty close to a manual GT and non pp1 GT a10 in 0 to 60. Should be a decent 4 banger until the cylinder heads decide to warp or crack lol.

Gas mileage is not that much different from the V8. Just get the V8 instead of sounding like a tin can full of bees.

All the reviews I have seen so far for it have really praised it's handling and said its worth it----unless you start checking all the option boxes. A fully loaded HPP Eco Boost comes to just under 40K

Ecoboost Premium with High Performance ecoboost is 38,420.. Looks like you can tack on a Handling Package on top of that for an additional 2k.
Wow, Mustang GT Premium starts at 41,370 now. That's over 5k more than 2015 MY. I'd pay the 3k more and have a "base" GT from a performance standpoint over the ecoboost. |

The HHP makes no sense unless you really want a 4 banger. Otherwise spend a few $k more and get a base GT. The sound alone is worth it.

The new Ecoboost with Magride is going to kill the 1LE 2.0T and 3.6 Camaros.
Chevy needs to put the full 1LE Magride suspension and brakes under an improved 2.7T out of the Silverado. |

I'd have to see that to believe it on anything besides a straight line, and even then manual vs manual they're pretty close.
