That drives me nuts, not having the turn signals in the HUD is BS....it's not a huge deal but definitely an oversight on GM's part.

I agree it would have been nice. My C5 Corvette had them in the HUD but my 2018 Honda the HUD does not display the turn signals either.

Well, this is the first car I've owned with HUD and I'm just glad I have it. Could I live without it? Of course, but it's a neat feature and I'd be happy with just the tach and or speedometer. Everything else to me is just a bonus. Heck, the whole feature is a bonus. No complaints from me about signals or other stuff. Props to Chevy for the HUD. Some people will never be satisfied no matter what.

Give them a cake and they'll want a pie and two brownies too.

I think it’s fair to be upset about a feature that is in the manual, but doesn’t work in the actual car (shift lights).

If it wasn’t supposed to be there, then sure, it’s just another “I wish the car had...” sort of posts. But it’s a feature that’s literally supposed to be there, and actually works on some cars, but isn’t on any 2016s. It’s a **** up.

This. I expected to have the shift lights as well on my 2SS and was somewhat disappointed to never see it even on the 2018 model. Making this ZL1/1LE only without basically any communication is petty, I bet it's just a matter of a #define or #if somewhere in the code.

But then it's just a minor annoyance in the grand scheme of things, after all, we did get a tach, or actually two

Mine has the shift lights. My comment was more about the turn signals not being there.

Regardless, it is surprising if in fact it is true that the regular SS with the M6 doesnt hee the shift light feature. However, I've never relied on shift lights. I know when to shift by the sound and by using the tach if neccessary. Its second nature.

There's no reason for the auto cars to have shift lights.

I shift by sound, I could care less if it worked or not. I understand the frustration about it though. if its there it should work correctly. As for the navi i use my phone and waze on the car.

Shift lights are only available on 1LE and ZL1(M6) cars.
The Shift light flashes green, then yellow, then red depending on where you are at in the rev range and the gear you are in.

I have it on my 2SS 1LE.
I noticed it when first trying out No Lift Shift since 1LE cars have to hit the 5000RPM as a minimum to engage NLS.

Yeah, nice to know now, but it’s in the 2016 manual (without any “if equipped” caveat). They didn’t even sell 1LEs or ZL1s in model year 16.

Just another nice surprise from GM like how a year later they decided that they weren’t going to support the MRC calibration flash for the 1LE suspension kit for the 2016 either, despite their prior advertising to the contrary.

They began developing the 6th Gen in 2011, knowing that they would come out with a 1LE and ZL1 models, the manual will be written to be inclusive of all versions.

Also the ZL1 was announced in 2016 with a release 17MY starting with the M6 then the A10 in Spring of 2017. So there was a version that was already coming down the assembly line with the this technology equipped in 2016. All the cars have the same manual.

If the manual was specific to the version of Camaro then why would I have a page in my manual showing my how to change the oil in a 2.0T when I own an SS 1LE. Just saying. They're writing the manual to be all inclusive.

Shift light

My shift light worked fine until I did cams and tune!
Now after tuning it is gone!

You can’t try to justify that shit

It’s as simple as putting an asterisk by the feature with a footnote that says “if equipped” if they didn’t want to give away that an LE or ZL1 would be following in subsequent model years.
