are cold air intakes worth it if your not doing that much else ... ported throttle body flowmaster axle back cold air intake ???

An engine is a big air pump. Air in - air out. Unless you open it up all the way through, front to back, you won't notice much performance gain.

Without a tune maybe 5-10hp. If you notice it. is it worth that much money this is your call.

Why are they even called "Cold Air Intakes"? It's not like they're drawing air from a different location to the OEM filter. I guess it's a carry over from the days when guys used to just put a filter right on the end of the throttle body or turbo inlet in the engine bay, and then someone got the bright idea that this was probably not the best for performance. Hence the Cold Air Intake was born? But not really accurate with a lot of systems today.
