For me, the most detracting segment of the 19 refresh are the Roman Soldier Helmet 'cheek protectors' that protrude into the grille area. I like the rest of the restyle but those (in any color other than black) are so glaringly detracting that they force the observer's eyes to ignore the other features.

Same issue I have with the '19 Silverados

I think the refresh looks good; if I were in the market I would absolutely wait and get into a 19. Unfortunately for GM, my 17 Camaro is going to give me a long service life and I'll add a C7 to the stable next.

my exact issue too over and above everything else. i don’t even mind the
bowtie placement. maybe because those cheeks are so distracting from everything else.

I'll be honest, I really wasn't a fan when they were first announced, I hated pretty much everything about it.

But it has grown on me a little. I don't hate it anymore but I surely don't like it either.
My main problem with it I guess comes down to it feels like it belongs on another car. It's such a drastic change from the feel of the rest of the car that it feels like it belongs on a differently designed car.

And I agree with a lot of people on here. Flowtie needs to be moved. And the LT/RS looks better than the SS by miles. The SS only looks okay in maybe silver or black, a color that hides that ugly front bumper.

I'm starting to like the blacked out Grill. The base Camaro front end is ugly and does look like a blue whales mouth.

This is what I see when I see the front of the '19's. Badass, sinister, ready to eat a mustang. Love the '16-18's, but I also love the refresh, just that little more. Cant wait to see them in person and get one of my own.

Given that it really was not a very balanced comparison because one is a hot wheels version and the other is just a simple refresh with black stripes (Ironically the refresh seems more loaded than the special package in appearance) I made a comparison now , more balanced, as both have the Ground Effect Package, and a set of stripes (The stripes for each model are totally different), the only difference is that the 16-18 has the lower grid with red inserts (SEMA) and the Refresh has the Blade Spoiler (with Wicker Bill) ... So now the opinions and the WHY

Still the 16-18 for me.

I don't like the new hood heat extractor, and I can't get over the lower opening and side cheeks ('19 Silverado). I'm looking at a ZL1 anyway, so I just have to decide which taillights I prefer (waiting to see the '19 taillights in person).

The SS 1LE will look the best, I'm sure. Also, once owners begin to lower them and customize them, the SS cars will look better too

Saw a silver 2019 SS 1LE today. It does make the SS look better. Still not into it. But I think the LT 1LE looks better still.

As soon as I saw the 19 I knew I needed to hurry up and get an 18 while I could still get what I wanted.

Yes, a car like a Camaro is for “display purposes” too.
Hey hootie, seen one in person yet? That is what is being said. Lot of keyboard designers that have seen only a pic...more reasonable approach maybe to wait till one has seen one...makes me wonder if we have some stang owners trolling...why run down the very make and model you drive...
