No lift shift means at WOT you keep the throttle pinned, no lifting when you shift. The car senses the clutch engagement and kills a little timing to keep the revs in check.
Yes I understand this.

I was just wondering if the no lift shift employed the same throttle management.

Rev Match should just be a simple algorithm based on the vehicle speed and what gear you are selecting, then it adjusts the engine RPMs accordingly.

Each gear will have a specified speed range and the associated revs for that gear at that speed etc.

Does that make sense?

On the 5th gen ZL1, it just held the throttle plate closed enough to avoid hitting redline while you engaged the clutch to shift. You were able to hold the accelerator to the floor and bang through the gears
Ahhh...thank you.

Didn't we bet a beer on something? LOL I can't remember what it was now.

You going to the Glen for HPDE on Oct 1?

Don't know yet, but the PTM software is new, so I am thinking it would be more advanced than say in a 5th gen ZL1...

When I had my tuner set up No lift shift on my car he said it was already set up in there from the factory. I'm pretty sure you can do it on a stock 1ss, but you have to rev it out to 6200+.

Really? I have read multiple times that the regular SS's don't have it and I thought you needed PTM to have function? I'm sure if the regular SS had it, it would be in the owners manual and someone would have posted about it by now?

He said multiple times that it was already there he just tweaked it a bit. It already had parameters for throttle position and rpm limit. He said on the 5th gens he has to set it up manually but my car was already set up for it.

The regular SS has the no-lift shift, but I think you have to have Rev Match turned on to do it.

Humm, I had no idea...I wonder how may guys racing these things are lifting at full throttle lol?

So rev match on, and WOT and no lift shift works? Does it need to be in a certain driver mode?

Just drove a 2017 1ss 6 speed and confirmed it has No lift shifting standard. I was in sport mode with rev match on but I dont think the rev match has to be on.

Does this only work at WOT, or at a certain throttle position and further?

I assume the 6th gen is similar, but on the 5th gen ZL1, timing and boost (for the ZL1) is not cut during the shift. NLS is available in all driving modes not just in PTM. If you shift right before redline, the rpm will just drop and not hit the rev limiter. If you shift too early the rpm will just flare up.
