SS 1LE - no lift shift?
I noticed this in the Motor Trend story. It mentions no lift shift. I kinda doubt that they would straight up power shift, do we think the PTM in this car also has no lift shift on certain drive modes at WOT?

i noticed that as well... my assumption would be the no lift shift feature is activated through one of the PTM modes

If you watch the lightning lap on the 1LE you can see him no lift shift a couple times.

First shift in the video is a no lift @ 0:24 1:45 questionable but sounds like it same with the shift at 2:10 Then he does a couple more no lift shits at 3:10 and 3:20 He doesn't do it every time but more often than not. I'm not a huge fan of no lift shift, it just seems like an accident waiting to happen. Last edited by Iron Oak; 09-23-2016 at 12:04 PM. |

With this being my own personal car, I may give it a go again. Same with Launch control, I'd rather just do it myself. |

No lift shift means at WOT you keep the throttle pinned, no lifting when you shift. The car senses the clutch engagement and kills a little timing to keep the revs in check. |

It helps a ton if your turbo'd. you don't lose all boost just most of it.

On the 5th gen ZL1, it just held the throttle plate closed enough to avoid hitting redline while you engaged the clutch to shift. You were able to hold the accelerator to the floor and bang through the gears |
