I think Crush Orange is for 2018 Hot Wheels cars only. It will be cancelled after the 2018MY.

The only color options that we know of for 2019 are:
  • Black
  • Mosaic Black Metallic
  • Garnet Red Tintcoat
  • Red Hot
  • Satin Steel Grey Metallic
  • Summit White
  • Riverside Blue Metallic

That is what I know. Someone chime in if they know anything different.

Someone got the color catalog for orders a while back, it had crush listed as a 2019 Camaro option.

There is. It sets up the distance where the head would be. I think you basically take a distance from the ground and wrap it along the hood. But think of how low the Corvette is in comparison so in the end it's a head impact that I believe drives the result.

The only CONFIRMED DOHC V8 is the one going into the new mid-engine Corvette.
The only confirmed DOHC V8 is going in the Cadillac CT6 for 2019.

I don't believe GM has even confirmed the Mid-Engine Corvette, let alone what engines might or might not have.

So many sources have covered C8 that this is almost common knowledge now:

LT1 gets a bump to 500hp for C8 debut at Detroit Jan. 2019.

Next after launch, 5.5L DOHC NA V8.

Then 5.5L DOHC Twin Turbo making 800hp, with 200hp electric motor assist to the front wheels.

1000 freaking hp total!

C7 and C8 built at same time, slowly ramping up C8, slowly ramping down C7.

No more front engine Corvettes after a couple years.

No manual trans in C8, Tremec DCT only.

If links are desired, use Google. Read and enjoy.

And of course, these engines will appear in the 7th gen 2022 Camaro.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 2019 Camaro gets a bump to 460 or 465 hp to equal or beat the Mustang GT especially if the LT1 is getting a bump to 500 for the C8.

If true those would be a complete travesty. I'm writing an old fashioned letter to GM. Build that mid-engined Ferrari wannabe for the stiffs who have no clue about cars and just want to be seen in a $150k+ exotic, but at least one Corvette model must remain genuinely American - Front engine pushrod V8 with a real manual transmission with a clutch pedal.

I come from a family of Corvette owners. This is the kind of news that sparked the Revolution in 1776.

Are they going to call it the LT2 or will it still be an LT1?

How much HP on the N/A 5.5? Will it be FPC?

Any chance the N/A 5.5 will make it's way into a Gen6 Z/28 (in your opinion)?

I don't see that happening, as nothing changed in the LT1 in the MY19 Corvette so I don't see the Camaro getting bumped while the Corvette stays the same.

I wouldn't expect any bump until the engine itself changes from LT1 to say LT2

I agree. I don't see them going that full on exotic with the Corvette and just ignoring the history that Corvette has built since 53. Only one I don't agree with is it having to have a pushrod. If they wanted to go DOHC I wouldn't be opposed.

If the rumor mills are true, I would guess they call it an LT2. I doubt it's FPC. Look at all the trouble Ford has had at 5.2L, there is a reason FPC engines aren't that big.

And if said engine does exist, that would be my guess as to what would power a Z/28.

You are correct about Crush only being available on the Hot Wheels 2018 Camaro. Chevrolet's Build and Price on their website confirms this.

You can't build the 2019 Camaro on the website yet though.

All indications are that Orange Crush will be available across the range for 2019 MY.

Correct. But in the Upcoming Vehicles section of the Chevrolet website, it does not list Crush as an available color for the Camaro.

It would be great if Crush was available across the line for the 2019 model year !!

They don't list the Silver Ice Methalic and there are two pre-production cars with that Color
