They basically said they don't know what is going on and have no software updates planned.

I've seen them on other cars, but why would you even need this? I always run the hockey stick hud and if you already can't tell when to shift your car by sound, you can just look at the rev band filling up. It gets progressively bigger as it approaches red and is pretty hard to miss. It also displays your g's. I tried competitive mode for the first time yesterday on my M6 and got a decent time for some one who hadn't driving a stick in over 20 years lol...it worked pretty well for me at least. If you really need something there are apps and suction cup mounts that should help.

I have a 2SS A8 & the shift lights don't show up on the HUD w/the G-Force display for me either. I understand with new models there's going to be problems, but it's very frustrating to spend $44K on a car & GM take forever to implement any type of fix.

I wonder if it is in the software somewhere. If you go to the about in the dash, it says that the software is Open Source and has a website. I never tried to look it up but maybe you can get the source code and modify it?

I was driving a 16 C7 A8 the other day and it had the shift lights. Maybe they copy pasted from the Vette manual and didn't look it over.

So the SS doesn't have the shift light that is shown in the manual? It just has a tach reading? That is disappointing to hear...

I just got my 2017 2SS and it is still says there are shift lights in the manual but I have tried a lot of setting but still no shift light. I have tried comp mode with the performance display. Just stays in Gforce display.

I had an early build 2014 C7 A6 and the lights DID light when ever you got close to the red line. It was probably meant to be and never completed for the Camaro.

My 16 SS Sedan A8 has them and I have seen them when using the HUD with the G meter when you are driving spiritedly, not just putting around the city or highway. I'm shocked the Camaro doesn't have them if it says they do in the manual. Here's what it looks like in the SS Sedan.

It is not the only manual error.

1. No shift lights on HUD
2. Sun roof express close does not work, despite the two position switch.

Anyone have others to add?
