Been happening since lifts were invented. Personally have seen it. I have an awesome story about a guy and his GM 2500 and a lift crash like that back in the late 90s (or maybe early 2000s), but way too much to type.

Needless to say, Mr. Clean was pissed and people were scared.

^^^ This... I don't know what caused the car to fall, but for all anyone knows it could have been a hoist failure. I'm glad it isn't my car, but that tech I would assume feels terrible.

We want to "hope" that is the situation. But we all know a few dealers that would put the car in the lot and say you drove it here like that.
