Texas Speed headers fitment question
I have a 2019 2ss and im looking into getting headers. I've been leaning towards TSP but does anyone know if the header bolt still hits the steering shaft?? They say they include a hex bolt so it wont rub, but some people are still having issues. Anyone recently install them???

From what I have read on this forum they are somewhat hit or miss and this was more of a problem with the earlier builds.
I purchased 2" TSP headers in May 2019 from juiced and installed in June. I had them ceramic coated. Mine had plenty of clearance all around. I changed the steering shaft bolt with what they sent, but I didn't really need to to.

We've installed a ton of these. We generally only have issues with the 2" but they generally need to be dented in a couple spots. The wiring harness on the passenger side should be moved out of the way or heat shielded as well. We put heat shield tape on that with every build now (pretty sure Gm even did a recall). On the 1 7/8" use the new steering shaft bolt and you should be good to go. Before you finally tighten everything down its a good idea to check for clearance though.

I installed The tsp 2 in headers on mine no problem. They include a flat headed bolt now that just barely misses the header when turning, no dinging required. 4k miles later no issues. I just installed last aug. if your considering midpipes, i'd go with someone else. Mid pipes require cutting up your old exhaust. Pain in the ass and looks like dookie.

Thank you all, I went with the 1 7/8 from TSP and had no issues!! Car also sounds great since it’s catless and mufflerless!!

Even if it hit the top of the steering shaft bolt it doesn't justify paying for the kooks which is the next brand I would go with after the TSP's..
btw i was able to do all from the top even with lift honestly I didn't know the brace on the bottom came off when I did mine there wasn't any videos or anything available so I winged it. If it was me I would also clearance around the starter just to keep heat away even though it has the shield. My wife's car who's had headers on for 4.5 years started to act up last year from the heat on the starter, I made sure to pound that area (clearance) mine.. gained another 1/4 inch. https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=516977
