Removed the cheap plastic striker covers and replaced them with cheap metal covers:

I was able to remove the plastic covers without snapping off the retainer tabs. The metal ones are held on with double sided tape and may bend if removed. Oh well, they were inexpensive and came in a 4-pack.

Also received my InPoc side pocket. I wasn't satisfied with them being just hard plastic so I made a padded lining for it:

My cell phone is much happier!

Are these the ones off ebay? And did you put them over the plastic ones or by themselves?

They are from eBay in a pack of 4. Not expensive at all ($9.99 shipped), but they did take a couple weeks to get here from good 'ol China.

They are on by themselves. I was able to pull off the plastic ones without breaking the tabs. Now I have 6 covers for 2 strikers. It's good to have spares I guess...

Note: If anyone is thinking about buying these $10-for-4 metal covers, know that mine needed a cleaning with some polishing compound and a Dremel with a felt wheel. They were rough/cloudy around the edges. No big deal, well worth the 10 bucks.

Can do! I detailed the process on This Page in my Member's Journals subforum thread.

If you read thru my thread you will see a post showing how I painted the SS emblems on the front seats from red to black, maybe that will give you some ideas. That was a pain to do, but very much worth it to me.

Awesome, I'll check out your page. I want to do a different color so bad but I'm not sure what paint to use.

Trunk lighting at last. FlexLight LED strip from Diode Dynamics. About a two minute install.

Our SCT LiveWireTS came in today, so we updated it and added a modified 93 tune on our car. I'm amazed by the difference even with just a base tune.

We will have it custom tuned once we install more power adders.

I highly recommend adding this tuner for your first performance mod.

4,700 miles and I got a screw in my tire. While driving to work, the TPMS popped up and said 26 PSI. Thankfully it didn't go flat and stayed at 26 PSI. When I left work, I filled up the tire to 34 PSI and it stayed for 50 miles back to town where I went to Tire Kingdom. I had been there before with my previous Camaro and my wife's as well. They took great care to lift, remove, de-rim, seal/plug, and put back on nicely... at NO CHARGE! The manager and I were talking the whole time while involving the tech now and then. He could tell I was having a heart attack watching service be done to my baby! When it was done, he handed me his card and said "Have a good evening". I tried to pay, but he wasn't having it. Good business, as I will go there to get new tires when needed. Tire Kingdom in Sebring, FL across from Lakeridge Mall if anyone is nearby.
