2020 Camaro convertible radar mount

I have a 2020 Camaro Convertible with the power mirror and I am trying to power my radar detector from it so I can mount it on the mirror.

Is this possible? I am having a tough time trying to get the power mirror-base and etc off to even get inside and wire it. I am trying to eliminate the wires running down to the cigarette

Check out Gen5DIY.com for options to power your radar detector. Send them an email if you have questions.

What Mark said, or, does your detector offer an OBD power connection?

My Valentine 1 has something called "Savvy", which takes power from OBD. So, rather than go taking apart the mirror, etc., I just ran the V1's RJ11 power cable up from OBD, tucked inside the driver's side A-pillar trim, two tiny adhesive felt furniture pads to keep it up at the very top of the windshield, and wrapped into the passenger sun visor, where it waits to be plugged in to the unit.
