Congrats on the new Camaro, Ryan. And welcome to the “Row Your Own” club.

There’s only one good reason for you to do this: track days!!!

Looking forward to pics and your full comparo of SIX vs 5.

We’ve got time. What’s up?

Went to the auto show yesterday (man, has it shrunk!). Sat (tried to) in a 2018 4cyl Camaro coupe-the only one on the floor-and I simply don’t fit. Granted, I have only gotten bigger this past year while you are relatively slight of frame. Just my HO but I’d have a hard time giving up top down motoring in this car.

My favorite vehicle may have been the 10 passenger (8 captains chairs!) GMC Savana conversion van brought by Ray Skillman. List of $85k marked down to $56. Compare that to a new Denali with 6.2, 10-speed and magno-shocks for an unmarked down $79,000.

Well, now you have time to ponder your decision. If your primary goal for enjoyment is the track then I get it. Otherwise, I have to agree with Indydriver. Top down motoring is one of the best options, just cruising or blasting through the canyons. A multi dimensional car. Obviously, I have a lot more top down days out here. Best of luck with your decision regardless.

I am still planning on getting a 6th gen 1LE just waiting a few months to let this weather pass. The issue with the tires (cracking) really puts a damper on things with dealers wanting to even move the cars which is understandable. I may have bought a few accessories already for the new car without having it lol

I didn’t have any fit issues. My son actually liked the rear of the new 6th gen better than our current car.

Waiting sucks that’s for sure

Now is not a good time of the year to sell a convertible. The 6th has grown on me and as I stated before there are going to be a lot of improvements. I was shocked at the low ball the dealer offered you.

The 6th gen interior sold it for me. Someone described it as like driving a fighter jet and I would say thats pretty close. I didnt do anything silly on the test drive but these are pretty poweful cars. The handling with the mag ride was great.
