ZL1 Battles Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Porsche 911 GT3 & Lambo Huracan Performante

Got to battle it out a bit with some really cool cars. Unfortunately, the transmission over heated near the end of the session and I had to come in early. First and only time it's done that.

If you like what you see, please subscribe. I upload ZL1 track content regularly.

Makes me really want to get out on the track with mine. So far away from break in completion still :(

What caused your transmission to start overheating? Too high RPMs before shifting?
Did you notice any negative impact, or did you just hold back a little?

It was definitely hot as balls this weekend in texas. Did you have the transmission fluid checked before for the overfill bulletin? Or was it not applicable?

Not 100% sure. I ran 3 other sessions that day with no issues. It was a bit toasty out. Ambient air temps were around 94 with a heat index of around 98. The car displayed a warning message about trans temps and said to idle the car. Performance shift mode was deactivated. I coasted around the track and came in as soon as I could. Message went away and never came back.

Transmission fluid levels were where they are supposed to be according to the dealership.

Thats an awesome video. There was no rear view mirror cam, so I am curious when the Lambo was hunting you, was he pushing you hard like your were the Aston and the Porsche? Or was he about even with you? It looks like you were pushing harder when he was behind you...

Yeah, I need to buy another camera to film the rear. I was able to pull away from the Lambo a bit in the corners, but then he was gaining it all back in the straights. We did that for a few laps until I overheated. Was one of my favorite sessions ever on track.
