Colour DIC is cool, but the HUD... The only thing that is "colour" are the shift lights and the tach gauge. Everything else is blue.

LOL so what you are saying is they are not heated!

I think I will try the 5 point harness first. And keep my eye out on the boneyard sites for at least one.

I've read that 3 times and still have not idea what he means.

I myself love my seats and drove 9 hrs each way from FL to TN a few months back and they are awesome. Only improvement would be an adjustable head rest.

Sadly the ZL1 I got off the lot didn't have recaros. I was actually tempted to pass on the deal because I really wanted the recaros, but the price was to good to pass up.

The Recaros look very bad ass, and hold you way better. If I see a good deal on someone selling ZL1 recaros seats I would buy them in a second. With that said if anyone here has plans to sell any please pm me!

Definitely happy with the Recaros. Not only do they look good, they were extremely comfortable on the 9+ hour trip back from the port when we picked up our Z.

Honestly....

Reading all these replies I bet we could get a group buy going with someone so we all can pick up these ZL1 Recaro seats!

I drove z28 and zl1 with and without recaros. I love the way they look but they just weren't as comfortable as stock seats. I am sure they are better on the track but absolutely not as comfortable for me. But I am a powerlifting and am picky about my seats. I would have bought them if it was an option bc they look cool but comfort wasn't as Much for me.

Love the seats, but they don't come in convertible form. That would have been the only reason I'd have sucked it up and dealt with the '14 taillights if I could have had a ZL1 convertible with Recaro.

But- I've also heard a couple of negatives, such as the seat belt dragging on the seat and damaging the seat itself. Is this really a "thing"?

I was noticing slight wear on mine after having the car for only a couple weeks, so I just take it out of the loop so it wont rub. My uncles zl1 with 7000km has a lot more noticeable wear from the seat belt rubbing.

Yup I do the same thing; Keep it out of the loop. It is inconvenient because I have to reach to grab the seat belt, but far better than wearing out the seat and having to take it back to the dealer. I still love these seats!! I wish they were cheap enough where I could buy one and make an office chair out of it.

I have the Recaros and while they are not as uncomfortable as I thought they would be, but they are not as all day comfortable as the standard seats. This is my third 5th gen so I have spent alot of time in the standard seats.

They also make it a little harder to get out of the seat if you cannot open the door all the way. I was thinking of trading them for the price of the option, but I will keep them since if I decide to sell my ZL1 having the Recaros will make it easier to sell. They do make the interior seem more crowded. And I do like the idea of motivation not to gain weight. I just fit right now.

You may like the way they look, but they are only really useful if you track the car often.
