I have just a little less then that. I think every car is just built slightly different and it is a matter of fractions if they fit or not.

My point during all of this is Kooks makes no mention on their site they may or may not fit. If you choose 17' Camaro ZL1 on their site it offers a 2" which means it should fit and if it doesn't they need to absorb the cost to make it right. In my case I believe that is going to be exchanging the 2" for 1-7/8" and pay for the labor. Once again it is not my fault they do not fit. I am in construction and if my guys do not build something to plan it is on us to fix it, not well it should of worked or it worked on the last project. We eat the cost and move on with life. Sorry had to rant a little more.

Yes and no. I didn't want to wait, so Sorian called Phastek. Phastek had a few sets around. They hooked me up. Sorian sent back the 2", then eventually got funded back. Kooks said that during the curing process, it expanded more than usual. Whatever. I didn't care anyways. Not that it makes much difference.

Kooks stood by their product! I talked to Chris today, he is the vice present. I learned a lot about the company. It is family owned and they do care about their customers. He explained to me why their are written the way they are. I totally understand protecting yourself from those looking for something for nothing. He also explained that their product is hand made in gigs and basically sometimes the steel springs back different then it should. (basically shit happens). They happen to have 3 ZL1 in there shop now, they are not test vehicles they actually do performance installs and tunes there, who knew. Anyway they pulled a set of 2" headers of the shelf and installed them on a car that was getting 1-7/8. Confirmed the driver side had good clearance, pulled that exact header off boxed it up and sent it out to the shop doing my work. We starting talking about the sound from the factory suitcase which I don't like and Chris does not care for ether. 20 minutes more of bullshitting and he gave me a great deal on a new exhaust system. I might have took a minute to get it all figured out but I am happy with the result. I will post back to confirm the header fits and how the new exhaust sounds!

This is why you order quality stuff from a quality company like Kooks and not some eBay BS Chinese mild steel junk. You get what you pay for.

Bravo! Happy for you.
A great American company that stands firmly behind their product.
