Step 2: Read your entire tune file with the 3.7 Beta version. ((You don't need to waste time with FSCM, its bottom read.))
Step 3: Save your stock tune file somewhere safe. Make a copy of it, and edit that file.
Step 4: Trans >> Auto TCC >> TCC Desired Slip.
Step 5: Zero out all the TCC Desired Slip tables for each gear. ((AC and DoD))
Step 6: Write the calibration for the TCM.
Step 7: Test drive.
Thank you sir!

So I just got HPTuners today and am thinking of zeroing out the zlip. I don't have the shudder but am curious how zeroing them out effects it besides taking away the shudder. Would it be worth it to do it on a car that doesn't have the sudder?

5.6k on the clock...can’t believe it...shudder felt this evening. Came in strong 3-4 second waves, 5 separate times while in cruise control. Definitely sounds and feels like rumble strips. As well, I can see the RPM intermittantly and quickly moving 100-200 rpm up and down on flat road

What a PIA... of course, I’m going to wait until it’s worse for a fluid swap.

Shouldnt you do the fluid triple flush now to avoid "damage to the TC"?
I'm in the same boat, kind of. I felt the shudder once or twice but can't replicate it at will unlike my buddy's car, where we can replicate it at will.

To people that have tuned their A8. Do you know if there’s a separate file / program for V4 to V8 related to torque converter slip or pulsing? Reason I ask is that my car never shuddered, until I installed the Range ( very recent) I removed the range ( as a test) and there’s no shudder. This leads me to believe that in the V4 to V8 transition, something’s happening in the background with the TC that the range can’t disable. I’m sure the current fluid doesn’t help matters.

Torque converter slip tables are located in the TCM. Turning off AFM is on the ECM side.

Checking to see if I have to pull the TCM from the car (2017) and have it sent out and unlocked before I can have the TC slip tables changed?
The "slippage" just showed up on my 2017 at 3500 miles will be going to the dealer for the flush procedure this week. After that I will try and find a tuner that can zero out the tables and prevent any other issues if I can.
thanks

To have the slippage "tuned" out you have to pull the TCM and send it out to HPTuners to have it unlocked ($200) Tuner will have to purchase credits to tune the trans and be aware that warranty is pretty much toast at that point.

Looking at Hp Tuners, it looks like they moved this option under Trans — Torque converter — then there is a section for TCC desired slip and Use DoD slip.

It appears that for the DoD slip, you can simply modify it to “disable”, then you can change only the table for the desired slip.

Btw - to see the options, you also have to go into the advanced view.

Read this thread and decided to give it a try. Hooked up my hpt and zero'd out the tables for each gear and the shudder of death is gone.

Thank you very much!
