indoor car covers

What indoor car covers do you use to keep the dust off your garage kept camaros?

Black shows every spec of dust.

The problem with car covers is that unless the paint is perfectly clean when you put one on , you're likely to mar the paint, especially with black, which shows swirls more than any other color. Which means it's not convenient to drive the car if you're planning on putting it back on soon. I wouldn't use one unless I were ready to perfectly clean it first, then store it for a significant length of time. Even then, what's the benefit in a garage? The dust doesn't harm the paint unless you try to remove it with bad techniques. For the amount of dust that can accumulate on it in a garage, you would be better off just doing a rinseless or waterless wash or, if the dust is light enough, using quick detailer.

I just recently purchased the Camaro car cover, GM Part Number 23457480. My wife and I had GM Points from buying new vehicles last year so I used those points to get a nice deal. The list price is $375, but the dealership discounted it to $318.75 before using the points - my total cost was about $40.

I purchased this one because it is very light weight, has a very soft inside liner and a silky exterior feel to it. It also comes with a nice duffel bag for storage.

I have a black car too, and my previous cover did add some minor scratches.

Covercraft Dustop...fits perfectly. Store my car in a heated garage for the last 2 winters. If you wash the car right before you put on the cover you should not get any scratches. Also if you use a cover leave it on until you are ready to remove it in the Spring. The more you mess around with it or place items on it while on your car the more likely you are to have issues.
