Best way to clean exhaust tip help!

What do you guys use to make your exhaust tips looking new? Even after a regular wash my exhaust tips look nowhere close to how they originally did. What can I do to really get them looking just about brand new looking again?

I use wheel cleaner, but to make it really sparkle in the sun you would need some metal polish.

About 15 years ago, I started buying this stuff for cleaning my motorcycles. It's good for paint, chrome, glass, plastic, etc. I once took a chance on my tailpipes (because I was out of any other products). It worked so well that I've been using it for the tailpipes ever since.

4/0 (0000) steel wool. I spray a little of Adam's detail solution on them and then wipe them with the steel Wool, then dry them. Look like new each time.

This is what I do. I put polish on them to make them slicker so soot doesnt stick as easily.

I use Eagle One Wadding Polish. You can get it at many places(some Walmarts), and a can will last years. It's is a wool like pad with polish in it. It removes rust from stainless steel very well also.

It is also known as "Nevr-Dull".

By far the easiest product to use in my experience.

It will leave a slight oil residue that you simply wipe off.

Yeah, I never remember it's actual name.

If you left it haze first it will leave a better shine IME, like an old school wax does.

As mentioned above, cone polishing pad with a heavy duty cordless drive. I use an 18V Makita cordless drill with a Mequiars cone pad and some metal polish. I have been using the Mequiars metal polish that came with my pad, works well. I also have their cone pad spray cleaner, cleans the cone up real nice, but make sure you do that outside, stuff stinks big time!
