True...like high end women..need lots of maintenance.
Called my service writer at dealership to see if he can get it covered. Thoughts? ...LOL.. |

Really sucks cause racing buddy was there with his Phoenix T2 C6 and was running times that would have kept us close. Could have picked up some pointers

With your upgraded pads and fluid, your failure point became the caliper seals. I had this happen on my M3 with the exact same results as you described.
The pistons seals melt and cause them to stick - which in turn builds up more heat. You should be able to rebuild the calipers but you really need to address the root cause and figure out a way to keep your brakes cooler. |

Courtesy of braking for T1 on time-delay. . . you're braking into 1 from how fast? And there's that little uphill to help make heat even faster than when you're braking for 5 and going slightly downhill.
If you're currently running 3" cooling ducts, you need to seriously consider upgrading to 4", which will probably require an oval backing plate nozzle. Vorshlag has the hose and would probably sell it separately, but don't have the 4" backing plate for Camaros (not yet, anyway), so you might be on your own for getting the backing plate nozzle done. Nick do you have any additional brake cooling?

Brake cooling notwithstanding, high torque pads will throw tons of heat regardless meaning higher cost of consumables. Especially on a heavy car driven fast. Go with lower torque and the issues quite simply go away.
If not - get ready to do what race teams do: change fluid for every race and rebuild often. Thats reality based on my experience anyway. |

Nope. Emailed Garage Company if they are available. Not for 3 weeks.
I've run this setup minus DBA, for a full session without issue. Norman I wasnt having issues in turn 1 @ 148 mph but turn 2 I dis have issue. New caliper is on it's way. Dont have a problem with rebuilding them every session with RB upgraded pistons and seals. This also happened on third lap so brakes were not overheated when this happened. |

Though I suppose it's possible for a seal that started to melt to re-solidify "out of shape" where it'd be more likely to jam things up. Once locked, the brake on that wheel isn't going to be generating heat to re-melt a heat-damaged seal. Norm
