DD suspension upgrades

If she is your DD and you are not focused on "shaving tenths off your lap time" do you have any suspension mods?

I've found GM did most of the mods I would do to a car to the 1LE already, saving me time and money along with trial and error trying to get the car dialed in for best performance.

The only things I would do to make the car more DD friendly are swap out to less dusty brakes, and long tube headers to unleash the sound and power locked up in the factory manifolds/cats.

That and maybe some interior mods like the suede knee bolsters, maybe a few other things, and update the exterior lighting that is still incandescent.

Best thing about the 1LE is you don't have to really mess with it, it's close to what I would consider perfect, for what kind of car it is right from the factory.

I really don't care about comfort.

I switched to a ZL1 1LE for comfort.

Best thing would probably be solid rear cradle bushings or a cradle lockout kit.

THIS!!!

GM really knocked it out of the park with the SS 1LE, both in looks (flush wheels to fenders, little wheel gap, wide tires, nice stock wheels that look better than most aftermarket wheels, etc.) and performance. IMO, the SS 1LE looks more complete than the ZL1 1LE from a visual standpoint.

With the exception of those rear cradle bushings that Laststandard mentioned, the 1LE is about as close to perfect as you will get from a factory car (san Porsche GT3/GT3 RS)

"Don't care about shaving tenths off a lap time" and "dont care about comfort" sounds like you just want to lower it for aesthetics. in which case I'm sure there are plenty of lowering spring kits out there.

I DD mine but I wouldn't touch it. I already cracked the splitter once on a parking lot curb, and going lower is just gonna make that happen more often on more things.

EXACTLY!
As the car is, it out drives me, so no need for any mods...if I do, it might be some better braking, if there is one...not that the OEM brakes are bad...I'm a late braker!

My wife is just waiting for me to start buying MODS!
