A8 DOWN SHIFT ?
When running my car at the drag strip and finish a pass and slowing down the transmission starts down shifting. Is there a way to take this out of the prosses other than just pokeing it into neutral?

Probably because it's still in performance shift mode, so it is trying to keep you in the powerband. What I do is quickly flip the shift knob over to the left into manual mode, then back to D, which immediately cancels PSM. Not sure if shifting to N and back to D while decelerating has any adverse impact, but my method feels more natural and still keeps the trans in drive.

performance shift mode is why it's doing it. as stated, blipping to manual then back to drive cancels it.
honest question, why would you want to cancel it? |
