AirBag fuse pull ?
As many of you probably saw the ZL1 AutoX airbag video I need to know if there was an update on this subject.
I was also wondering if you could just pull Airbags fuse for the autox day to have a peace of mind that they wont go off if you spin out. Let me know how to approach this issue . |

Just found the AutoX video as well as this one:
Was wondering the same thing... don't need a $4-6k bill if I happen to curb a little too hard at the track. |

I've been told pulling the fuse DOES NOT keep the airbags from going off. They store just enough energy to deploy just in case power is cut in a crash. I found this with a quick search:
Even after disconnecting the battery there is no guarantee that the airbags have been deactivated. As mentioned before the capacitor can hold a charge up to 30 minutes. The length of time each model of vehicle will hold a charge varies from 0 seconds to 30 minutes. Even after the capacitor has been discharged there are several factors that may allow for discharge of the airbags. |

One hand on the wheel, then stops in the middle of the track, flipping idiot.
