2013 camaro L99 whipple

Has anyone ran into this before. Having whipple installed and tuned, using the 3.87 pulley. Shop said that I am pulling 15 lbs of boost off that pulley. I dont see how, when whipple says it should be at like 10-11 lbs.

Do you have a stock crank pulley? Bigger diameter crank pulley would spin the blower faster right?

I'm peaking at just under 11psi with that pulley with the stock cam and heads. Boost pressure is a measure of restriction i am wondering if you have something not allowing your engine to breath. Worn cam or something not allowing for normal operation. Verify pulley sizes. What power is it making? Without cats an longtubes you shouldn't have a restriction in the exhaust as far as that goes.

Talked to shop and they used the stock 4.0 pulley and it was at 13 lbs of boost. As for hp I dont know they haven't put on dyno yet, only street tune so far. They are going to try to use a 4.1 pulley.

What are they using to measure the boost. I am wondering if the device is the problem. It doesn't make sense. Jannetty does a lot of whipple builds I'd call them.

Shop said it looks like it has a OD crank pulley. Running the 4.1 pulley and have 8 lbs boost. Run like a grape ape..

Yea, that's not too comforting but a simple mistake. All you have to do is measure the crank pulley to find if it is oversized or not. Whipple is pretty spot on should be right around 8 with the 4" pulley.

Ya since they put a 4.125 pulley it's right on what whipple said it should be making. Still a far cry from what cbi said. I wish I would have just drove the extra 2 hours and went to Chicago.

Hey man as long as it ain't blown up its a simple fix. You probably still have the 4" pulley. What tuner did you purchase? Ted at jannetty can hook you up with a really good tune for that setup. Mine was pretty damn spot on with the tune he sent without datalogging. Pulley swap is so easy. He uses sct or hp tuners. I have a 4" pulley if you need that i never even used i can sell for cheaper than whipple does.

Should have come by our shop. We would have you straightened out. Did you get the car back yet? What kind of power numbers did you make?

Only made 475 rwhp and peaked at 16.94 lbs at 6500rpm....
Matt Bell at Redline Motorsports found that CBI locked the vvt on the exhaust side at 12 degrees.... But they did it because my vvt isn't working correctly but they never told me....Redline is doing a dod/vvt delete cam swap for me.
My next choice was going to be Juiced Motorsports but RedLine motorsports is a lot closer and Matt Bell is one of the best tuners. They used him for the ls3 vs coyote shoot.
