FIC 1000cc Injectors o-ring leaking
Hello, I have a 2013 camaro ss with a whipple.
Just had a blower cam put in and 4 days later the injector on drivers side closest to the firewall started leaking. I called shop that did work and they came out to my house and replace o-ring. No leaks drove all day! Well this morning when it was 50 out I started car and it leaking again. Leaking out of o-ring that goes on injector that goes in the blower. Has anyone else had this issue? Thank you. |

Sounds like maybe the brackets for the rail are not set to propor height causing the injector to be pulled to one side. I had that issue when I first installed mine I had a leak at the rail-injector o-ring I had too much pressure on them which caused the injector to be cockeyed.

Yeah make sure they are seating easy. If you are forcing them in it might be putting pressure on the oring

Called shop and told them its leaking again!
Shop told me to swap the 1st and last injector on the drivers side. So I swapped them and put new o-rings on them, I used dish soap like FIC recommends on there website. Well again leak stopped for a few start up and started leaking again. I have also tried moving the injector at 6,7,8 o'clock positions still leaks(same spot even with different injector) and seems like it leaks worse when it cooler outside too. I mean it never leaked before shop pulled motor out and did a tranny upgrade and cam swap. Any ideals what it could be? Shop said they would come pick up car in a week or so, just hope I dont get charged. |

I would double check the injectors part number first. Since all injectors are doing it in only one spot it's got to have something to do with the injector positioning. Very unlikely it's the port itself. Cooler temps will contract metals so increased leak makes sense. Double check everything even if you are positive it's correct and I'm sure you will find it. I would even check that all o rings are same size.

Still have the same o-rings on injectors (except the one they changed out) that came on the FIC when I had them and blower stalled in February. They didnt leak then, when I had fuel rail off there is a wear mark (like smoothed out) on the port that is leaking. I emailed whipple to see if I could get a replacement rail(since it's still under warranty) to see if that will help.

I may have got it! Took back apart cleaned intake and rail ports with q-tips really good. Lubed up o-rings really good, moved injector from 3 to 9 o clock slowing back and forth as I installed it. So far no leaks!!!

Still leaking but only when it cold out! Email Whipple for a fuel rail replacement, if that doesn't fix it, I would say it has to be something going on with that port in the intake.
