New LT1 Owner!

Just wanted to stop by and say hello. I’m new to the v8 world as I’ve always owned Subaru’s. I have a purpose built 04 wrx with a built 2.14 stroker making 515whp as my track HPDE car. This will be my new daily. Lt1 with the 10 speed auto.

What’s the best site for parts like exhaust? I have the non NPP model so it’s dual single tips.

I don’t plan on doing much mechanical since it’s my daily minus an exhaust and maybe intake. Hope everyone is having a great quarantine lol. My daughter is 2.5 years old and he’s having a blast in it.

Congrats! Good call on the 10 spd auto, I hear it's a great transmission.

And welcome to the domestic V8 muscle car world. I would've thought the WRX would be better in MO for a daily driver, especially in the winter.

Borla, Corsa are some of the big names in the exhaust world.

Good luck and welcome!

Eh it does not snow so much here. Also, the wrx is a completely gutted track car weighing 2800 lbs so it’s terrible to drive other than in the track lol. This is my daily and my wife has a BMW X3 for her daily and family stuff.

There are plenty of vendors that support the forum members. I haven’t bought from all of the vendors but Phastek and Wildhammer have been consistent in my experience.

BTW, good looking car!

Congratulations to both you and the OP on your recent LT1 acquisitions! I think your Camaro looks especially sharp---the white body color and painted(?) wheels look fantastic!

Thanks!!

The color with the specs I wanted were hard to find. From dealer searches there are only six in the country, and I was an inch away from doing a factory order, but found this one a couple hundred mile drive away. Really glad I didn't place a factory order now. I doubt GM will make anymore 2020's.

Congrats on the new ride! This is to both OP and mikec. Sweet cars for sure!

I could not find anything like I wanted within several hundred miles so I ordered. Order was placed 3/16, Chevy accepted order 3/17, factories shut down one day later. I hope they at least still build 2020s that the orders were already accepted for.
