Rear tire size question

I am getting all my tweaks in order for my 2021 LT1 10 speed auto . The LT1 has a square tire size of 245 40 20, these tires are 27.7 inches tall. I have obtained a pair of 20x9 2011 camaro wheels off the rear of a SS to use with a 255 35 20 nitto nt05 on the rear which is 27 inches tall. That equates to a 2.5% difference. I should be getting a small gear ratio advantage , stock gear is 2.77, now it should be 2.83. Main question is should I expect any issues with tire diameter being less than a 3% difference? I plan on driving to and from the drag strip and occasionally on the road with these rear tires.

Only issue I see is a big difference in the offset. Have you considered that?

I did not as I would think the offset of the stock 20x8.5 wheel versus the 20x9 5th gen would be close. The 6th gen SS rear wheel is a 20x9.5 . There has to be wiggle room for a 1/2 inch negative or positive offset difference in the rear of the 6th gen...I hope

Yeah I'm not sure. Hopefully it works fine, but I know there was a huge difference on my 5th gen rims on my 6th gen. I wanna say the 20x8.5" 6th gen wheels are 25mm, and the 20x9" 5th gen is maybe like 40mm. On the height issue, I had no problems running a slightly shorter overall diameter setup
