Question coolest external ZL1 feature?

For me, the coolest external ZL1 feature is the missing mail slot.

Thats true. At least everything about the car is about function. Maybe during aerodynamic test the mail slot slowed it down

.

Two part answer:

To begin with, the wide "shoulders" above the back wheels are what makes all of the Camaros look like a beast about to pounce. That feature is what makes 5th gen so far above the rest in appearance.

When I saw the venting on the lower fascia of the ZL1, I was completely sold. It has nothing to do with being similar to Bumblebee, it's just that cool and futuristic looking.

I've said it before, and it bears repeating: The ZL1 looks like a cross between a pitbull and a rocketship.

I like that.

The coolest external feature . . . Hmmmm. I suppose it is the rear view. Good thing too, since that is what most cars will see!!

ABsolutElY what sold me... (1)the rear shoulders ... (2)Keeping to the 2006 prototype design...... It's SCULPTED metal. And, I really really like the performance design of the (3)rear differential... I used to like the "12 bolt rears", but this new technology is awesome. I like knowing it is built to take a beating.
There is NO OTHER car out there that I think could ever top this design. The new Gen 6 will of course be great, but lighter, maybe more agile, but I like the Gen 5 for comfort blended with performance. Im not into performance ONLY. I want a little pampering ya know?

The entire exterior has an unmatched presence IMO. There is not one dull or flat panel. If yoi nail me down though , for ZL1, I vote hood. Seeing the 4th video from GM and the smoke actually flowing through the extractor just made me puddy

If there is one thing that I could "steal" from the ZL1 for my FI SS would be that rear valance and quad tips

What about the gills in front of the rear wheels?

I have to agree with Radz, there is not a part that I do not like. They changed the egg crate grill into a beautiful piece, incorporated brake ducts, gave me an exposed Carbon Fiber hood insert, got rid of the mail slot, black painted six piston Brembos with logos, gave me the option of a sunroof, made a much larger rear spoiler w/o going to a wing, two double barreled exhaust tips and put simply huge tires under the car. The IBM car sitting on the ready line at Nurburing really shows the cars muscular physic. I love it from every angle.
It just says "I am going to blow your doors off and then eat you alive".

Before the ZL1 came out I had already planned on putting quad tips and the Transformers 2 bumblebee style front, and the ZL1 did that!

For me personally, without a doubt, unequivocally, it's the badass windshield wipers.
