No need to remove the airbox, there is only a rubber flap on top of the headlight assembly that you can pull back, then you'll be able to reach the driver side turn signal bulb.
Thank you much for this information and an alternate part number. Glad to know I don't have to remove the airbox!

You're welcome brother. Hope this swap works out fine, and we're around to help if you happen to hit anything unexpected.

***** EDIT ****
FAIL: I’m sending these back.
They worked great with hazards, and the first 4 blinks of a turn signal. But after 4 blinks onwards, they flip to double time
***************

Just bought these...

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Installs in 5 mins. Just plug in the bulb, and you're done. Perfect blinking rate.

Aw, sorry to hear these ones don't work. There's a sea of choices on amazon, seems you got the short end this time.

(Not wanting to be that guy, but these aren't advertised to have a built-in resistor or CAN bus adapter, or even free of "hyperflash", in fact the description explicitly says you need resistors when used as turn signal bulbs).

Well.. you're that guy now. I agree I didn't read the fine print. But is there any other reason to buy amber lights except for turn signals? Its an incomplete product, and serves no purpose, as is. Back they go.

Just pulled the trigger on these:

https://www.amazon.com/LivTee-WY21W-.../dp/B07MC47NST

No reviews, but they seem to check all of the boxes and whoever is manufacturing these in China is getting the hint now at $30+/pr.

FYI- these LEDs work fine. Install is easy and takes minutes.

I’m curious, what other stuff can be programmed/modify in the BCM?

How about enabling the HUD shift lights on the SS that were oh so pleasantly turned off, presumably to set the 1LE and the ZL1 apart? Is this possible? And video file playback in 720p?

Also, can we supercharged SS owners have the boost gauge in the cluster, instead of the battery voltage display?

load resistors right up installed attached to the led's is a great way to have a short lived bulb.

Just get some load resistors, grab some heatsink epoxy (both things are super cheap) then use any normal led bulb you want (not the stupid can-bus bulbs). Attach your load resistors to the cross members behind each headlight so the heat can go directly into the frame.

The whole thing will last forever, cost a couple dozen bucks.

Tons of goodies, here is the list from our normal offering for the C/K Trucks/SUV's this is an off the shelf application but there are almost endless possibilities custom wise. Some of this obviously wouldn't interest you guys, some will i'm sure LOL

Remote Start Enabled (Customer will still need a remote start key fob to utilize it)
Remote Start Cycle time extended to 20 minutes per cycle
Factory Alarm/Theft Deterrent Added to base model trucks
Factory Heated seat support added for trucks that don’t have it (wiring required obviously)
Turn signal “Hyper Flash” Deleted
Turn Signal Bulb Outage Detection Deleted
Fog lamps remain on with High Beam
Fog lamps no longer disable Intellibeam
Fog lamps remain on with Intellibeam/Auto High Beam enabled (if equipped)
Tap to pass (turn signal activation) bumped up from 3 to 4 flashes
Windows down from key fob added (For 2014-2015)
Windows down from key fob changed to Driver and Passenger front Windows only
Window down from key fob changed to allow “Vent” setting (release key fob to stop window motion prior to complete lowering)
Driver (and passenger on utilities) window UP from key fob (hold lock to raise). Express up windows are required to make this work and currently the K2 Pickups only have one on the driver’s side.
Trucks with a 98MPH speed limiter the limiter is raised slightly to allow a stock truck (a Denali for example) to run a full quarter mile without hitting the speed limiter before the end of the quarter.

HUD shift lights likely aren't an issue, the video file playback is dependent on screen size and year but we can add video playback to some of the vehicles they took it out of (including your 2018). The boost gauge we can add but there's nothing to broadcast it on the bus so that it can read it

Wow, thank you very much Chris. I'll contact you offline about these and not jack this thread any further (sorry OP).

I can tell you that with a 2020, that nearly no LED bulbs, including Diode Dynamics will work without hyperflashing. I ordered 2-sets from DD and three Amazon sets that stated no hyperflash and it remained. I will admit that DD doesn't state '20s won't hyperflash (and didn't expect they would, but was hoping), so I added their resistors and everything is good. Just FYI - 2020s will MOST LIKELY require resistors for LED signals.

Side note - slightly off-topic: I used the Amazon BU LEDs that have remote resistors and those seem to be okay for now. They were about $35. I know I'll go with GenV' for his harnesses soon, but the Amazon BU LEDs are working fine.
