1LE Gripes, Complaints, and Rants

In order to stop cluttering the 1LE Discussion threads with our dissatisfaction, we can do it here!

My big issues in order are:

No upgraded stereo, but I get it, its not a Grand Touring vehicle

No automatic, again, I get it, if it had had either of the other missing options, I would have learned to drive stick for this awesome piece of equipment >.<

No cooled seats. Not a requirement for me, but the girlfriend said if I wanted a dark interior, it had to have ventilated seats

Up side, I feel like Im only missing out on the eLSD and Im not planning on tracking frequently enough to make it worthwhile because I can get the wheels used >.<

Cooled seats were one of the things I was most excited about on the 6th gen but wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.

Standard MRC is the only thing I don't like. Everything else is fine.

I'm just bummed it's not offered on the 2SS. I get it ,it's supposed to be track focused. But this isn't 1989 again with them only producing 111 units and no one even knowing what it is. It has a following and people will pay for it. I can't afford both a daily driver 2SS with all of the creature comforts I want and a 1SS 1LE for the 2 times a year I want to track it. But I do want everything that is on the 1LE and I would pay for the package on top of the 2SS. But since I don't have that option, I'll probably go with a 2SS and add some of the 1LE bits if I can such as the wheels. I don't care about the disco lighting and leather trim panels. What I do care about is actual functional creature comforts:

1) Bose: This is a daily driver. I want a good system for the 99% of the time that I'll be commuting

2) Homelink: I'd much rather have it programmed into the car than have an ugly loose garage door opener that can be stolen

3) Dual Zone Climate control: I'm always hot, my wife is always cold. This is not a fight I usually win

4) Autodimming mirror: Not a huge thing, but it would be nice.

complaint: It came out before the ZL1

ok, not really - maybe it will provide insight into what is in store for the ZL1...I'm just impatiently waiting for NY Auto show I guess.

It's a wrap. Just pull it off or trade with someone that wants it. Plenty of non-1LE guys will be looking to duplicate the look.

My main gripe, which I think leads to a lot of other gripes, is that they did not tell us the price....Is it that hard for them to figure out?....The car has been planned for months/years....tested out....all items are a known quantity, yet they gotta tease us with no pricing....I call bs...How can you decide if you want one or not without knowing the price?...

Waiting for pricing will just lead to more upset and arguing in the meatime....and all avoidable...They really don't know what the price is?....Gimme a break...

Well...on second thought I just realized it's all for a 2017 model, so who knows if pricing will change for that alone....It is down the road a ways, I suppose....

standard recaro seats. I know perfectly well why they are standard, just as a fat guy I know recaro's can be uncomfortable for commuting haha

They know the pricing, just don't want to give out too much info all at once. Itll probably be about 3500+MRC+NPP cost, so about $5500 over 1SS price.

Like I said, Id probably appreciate them, but don't need them. My vehicle is the road-tripper though, so the girlfriend wants them

Thank God for this thread. The other one is more complaining than joy...and its a damn shame.

The tone will change again, like it did for the standard SS, when the 1LE kills the base GT350.

Killing the GT350 is a tall order when you are down 70 hp. I hope it does but I'm not holding my breath.
