2020 Camaro Poll

Would you rather have a 2020 Camaro SS, or an 2020 Camaro LT1? Please say why, even though it's obviously optional.

Right now I'm just starting to consider trading my much loved '13 SS. If I do, the top two candidates are a Challenger Scat Pack or an LT1. I prefer the LT1 over the SS simply because I can't get past the SS frying pan headlights. The LT1, to my eyes, is simply a better looking car.

Honestly, I'd look for a used '18 2SS. All the features and saves you some cash.

I'd prefer the interior of a SS over the 1LT if I had a choice.

Who wants a Stuffed Sled? Not that the LT1 is much lighter...

You get (slightly) better performance and it looks like a V6 car.

2020 SS Rally Green Camaro for me.....Why? i always wanted a SS Camaro but i thought it would be a 69 SS Camaro or a Z/28.Then i saw a 6gen Camaro at a stop light one day and i was sold...The more i looked into them, i learned about the 1LE package on the 6gen.The more i wanted one.Damn amazing cars if you ask me.
So what did i do?I sold my 69 SS 396 Chevelle after 33 years of ownership, to buy a new Camaro. These cars are modern day muscle cars with all the bells and whistles. You got to love it.........

The only reason I see to get an LT1 over an SS is the price difference, slightly lighter, or if you wanted a sleeper car. It's not like the LT1 offers anything the SS doesn't unless you really don't like the 2020 design.

I would always choose the SS over the LT1. Why? because after looking at the LT1 you will have to perform alot of upgrades to make it even track capable like the SS is out of the box. At least with the SS you can take it to the track and beat the snot out of it! The LT1 you can't do that. It only has 4 pistons on the front no brembos on the rear and last be not least your limited at 160 on the dash. I forgot what they said at the Chevrolet booth at Camarofest but still thats a dealbreaker for me..plus I dont like grille.

I think you need to look at the second poll listing, as of right now, it is reading to me, "Lower Trade-ins One". Is it supposed to say, "LT1"?

Anyway, I chose SS. For me, being a track guy, I want the coolers and the Brembos in back are a nice thing to have (better pad wear, more robust calipers for hard-use, slightly better braking and they look way nicer).

The LT1 trim is for two types of people:
1. "I just want a V8 and basic tech"
2. "I want something I can drag racing"

Those two types of people, I think, for these types of vehicles in the USA, outnumber the "I like going to the track" person and the "I like all the tech/creature comforts" person

Good points everyone! In terms of design, which do you all think you like better?

Not a fan of drag racing, and I like all the luxury/comfort options so the LT1's not on my radar. Even though It does look better, I'd rather go 2SS or SS/1LE.

Most definitely the SS..if it's the bumper and headlights you don't like I'm sure you could take those items off and sell them easily and go with other trim levels.but in most cases a lot of us that are on here like to do mods and upgrade our cars.half those parts you're going to wish that you just got them when he got the SS from the get-go.. also another thing to think about is ..what's the benefit of really getting that car when you can find a used SS like only a year old a lot cheaper than that car brand new.

That is your opinion if you think it looks better.. the 19ss is a beautiful car that really stands out from the crowd. Unique and mean. And the 20 SS also looks better then that v6 front .I think Chevy did a really good job with the 2016 to 2018 bolt V6 and V8 front ends ther both very nice ..
