Convince me $41K is to much for a FIFTY and get a ZL1
So my friends I am in a shitty situation here. Had a FIFTY loaded. It was perfect to me. Have a brand new Magnuson kit in the boxes in my garage and was getting ready to boost it before it was totaled by a clown. I bought it back, stripped it of ANYTHING FIFTY, suspension, brakes, interior, mods, and sold the rest. I came out way ahead for my work. Now here we are a month later. I have wanted a 2016+ 750i, another FIFTY, ZL1, Hellcat, a 1SS and make it a FIFTY, and recently thought about selling C7 and just ordering a C8.
Now here we are this morning. 30 min from me is a FIFTY identical to mine, $38K firm plus 10% (Cali you suck). Now I can start over, install all my goodies and have fun. I would be $45K into it. OR I spend $52Kish and end up in a ZL1. Heres what my head is telling me. When I bought the C7 I threw another roughly $20K at it. Boost and APR Carbon Fiber mainly, but I could have had a Z06. So I am torn. Do I drive out, get my FIFTY and start over or do I go after that ZL1??? Life and its decisions. LOL

If you can afford it without afterthoughts definitely go for the ZL1

Is that even a question? ZL1. And you know why. “Fifty” gives you 0 benefits (is that badge even a plus?) ZL1 gives you real benefits: power, sound, higher trim, better looks...
But if you want an outdated 2017 for a badge... And ZL1 is a badge that matters more than fifty |

I have a Fifty Vert and love it but a ZL1 would be my choice. If I had it to do over I would buy a ZL1 vert.

Based on your amount of $7 difference I would suggest the ZL1 would be the best value for you. You then can sell your extra parts also.

If History has taught us anything, and I was caught in it I purchased a 2001 SS put 20,000 in upgrades from SLP. The minute Camaro ended in 2002. My resale value fell like a rock in 2004 they would offer 10,000 on a trade. I am a Camaro guy but I am not going to get caught this time I already sold my ZL1 ordered a GT 500. and the Hellcat is a Bargain for what you get. Food for thought.....

The ZL1 will hold its resale better. Boosted cars from the factory seem to have a bottom dollar that sits pretty high. Plus we have some packages that are priced right and can deliver some serious power with the LT4.

Agreed, if you want the top dog, then ZL1. If you want another Fifty for some reason, then buy a used 17 nightfall gray SS like I did and put your goodies on it. I just got mine for $24k. That's half of the original sticker for a Fifty. Or jump ship and go with the badass Vette. If you don't end up using the Maggie, I might be interested. PM me.

Don't hesitate, get the C8!
If not, ZL1 1LE! The Fifty is just an Anniversary issue, cool to have, but not when compared to your other choices.
