Intake will be available to order online on new website starting 12/13. The Elite Carbon series is going to be the high end product line, and with quality comes higher pricing.

This will be a huge home run since pricing will be under $1000. Kyle will be posting more information soon.

I will be counting the days to 12/13 for sure.
This thing looks sweet! Id be interested. However i would be willing to wager that it isnt going to be ready on 12/13! Im guessing not until 2018 some time. CAI has been saying two more weeks for months! I spoke with someone, maybe Kyle, that insured me it would be ready on Halloween and that was after it was going to be ready in Sept. So...it LOOKS great!

Can anyone who’s spoken to someone at CAI comment on the confirmed price? I just ordered a Rotofab, but I’d be very interested in this if the price is reasonable. Carbon is a great insulator, so there’s more to it than looking pretty.

I have a LMI intake on my Hellcat. It is a CF tube and it was $449. I can see a boxed system that is CF going for $550-$700. I would look for it to be somewhere in that range. It looks good. But I would have been fine with a non-CF unit for a much cheaper price. Maybe they can make this one and then make a standard one for those who will never be opening their hood to look at the nice CF anyway, lol!!

+1 I liked the fit and finish on the gen V, why not offer a similar unit. When I first started reading this thread I figured this was an option on their gen 6 intake and the normal one was already finished cause it was months ago that a spokes person chimed in and said it would be done soon, maybe in an attempt to get people to hold out for theirs. Pretty disappointed this will be their only offering, looks like rotofab it is.

From speaking to them at Camaro Fest it was close to 1k for this one, but that was back in August.

I was invited to participate in development of the new system by Cold Air Inductions quite a few months back. It was a long, but worth while project. Gains which I personally witnessed were 24 HP and 21 TQ. But first and foremost is the end product..... a fully carbon fiber unit (except for the window and attaching hardware).... very light and very appealing to the eyes.... and a fully enclosed unit. The fact it is fully carbon fiber is why the development took so long... the system will be available in the next few weeks for purchase. I would like to thank Kyle and James at Cold Air Inductions for being selected and for having the pleasure to work with you.

Here it is.....
That looks awesome! Hope they let you keep that one for helping with their R&D.

Was there any talk about revising it to be easier to get the filter out to clean?

I have had it on and off several times for inspection. Literally less than a 5 minute job...... very easy removal.......

At $1000, I don’t think I’d be interested. That’s more than 2X what I paid for my Rotofab. If they could keep it in the $700 range, it would definitely have more appeal. At least to me.
