Team M6! Here's a before and after I got tint. Makes a huge differnce.
Welcome!

Did you get your Lifetime Powertrain Warranty from the dealer?

Don't take this as a slight, but a 'lifetime warranty' means a few things:
  1. Its while you own the car and is not transferable (obviously)
  2. All maintenance has to be done by their dealership (this is only fair)
  3. No powertrain mods allowed whatsoever. They will constantly look for outs, and this one is a no brainier.
  4. Being used a selling tool, you must have lost out on some other deal vis a vie another similar purchase somewhere else. It's called marketing.

It has some value of course, just less than the salesman makes it out to be.

I plan on keeping the car for a long time. Just like my GTO. I spoke to multiple people that said small bolt ons were fine, just no tuning or major upgrades. They said just whatever i replace, exhaust or intske, those oem parts wouldn't be warrantied, which isn't a problem if I'm not using them. New smyrna also has a guarantee to beat any competitors quote on a similar or matching car. I got over 6 grand off of msrp on a car that i ordered myself, didn't just pick one off the lot. You're dead wrong about the maintenance having to be done at their dealership. I can take it to any gm dealership in the US or Canada for maintenance or warranty work. Thanks for the input though.

Purchased my '19 ZLE M6 in blue from them as well! Welcome to the group! I live over in the Tampa area, but they had good prices, much better than anything local to me. Their warranty is actually quite good; I asked the same questions as you and they seem pretty upstanding.

To reply to the other poster, the lifetime warranty really does not cost them much. People usually do not keep their cars long enough to run out of the factory warranty, and since this warranty does not transfer, it rarely comes into play. For the few people like me that keep my cars for some time, I may benefit from it but I also know I plan to mod it down the road (not sure to what extent, however). I, for one, appreciate that they offer it. They stand by their product. They were willing to negotiate. And the overall sale process was straight forward, which I appreciate.

Thanks and congrats to you on the new ride as well. I agree on the things you experienced at new smyrna as well. Also if I'm reading your name correct then, Go Gators!
