So About Allocations
I ordered my 23 from a dealer that currently has 2 Camaros one 23 in transit and a 22. Order was placed Oct 21st and Im really stressing out about how long an allocation could take It could come tomorrow or next year. Is there anyway to see how many allocations a dealer has or when they might get one or is it really just Luck?

From what I can tell, it's just luck. If I were you, I'd go on Chevy's website and see if you can find one in transit within a reasonable distance from you. That's what I did and was able to find one. Picking it up Saturday.

If you don’t need it this second and ordered from a larger dealership, you should be good to wait it out. That’s how I’m rolling - I don’t really want it until April so I’m ok waiting for a bit. If my dealer still doesn’t have an allocation after the first of the year then I’ll be contacting the really big known dealers like Criswell, Berger, etc.

Its almost more important to know how many orders that particular dealer has in front of yours, at one time I knew my car had 14 other ZL1's ahead of it. Allocations play in to it after that.

Wright in Ambridge. Thinking about placing an order with Bowser in Monroeville or CHarper in New Alexandria since both used to be bigger Camaro shops under previous ownership (Day and Grabiak). Jim Shorkey (Tom Henry) never returned my calls. I won’t buy an in stock or in transit unit if I can help it.

I ordered mine back on April 30th with a large volume dealership and didn't receive my allocation until October 18th. 5.5 months is how long I had to wait. My TPW is November 7th, so getting a lot closer now, but I'm sure I'll probably still be waiting for shipping into December or later!

I Ordered from what is supposed to be a volume Camaro type dealer and ordered a 22 in August and I never got that car. Had to place a new 23 order when those opened up, built 7.25 and I got it 8/30 even though it's just an hour from the LGR.
THis stuff is so up in the air on things you'll never know, find out, or have any say about. That's about all the say you can have in the process is a big dealership that sells A LOT of Camaro's. After that you'd better have a year's worth of patience. |

Its up to anyone guess here.
If you ask this question to the sales person, they should be able to tell you how many allocations they got for MY22 and how many for MY23 so far. Not sure if you can trust that 100%. |

You just have to be patient. I placed my order for a 2SS on Sept 22. I'm #1 priority at my dealership, so the next 2SS allocation they get is mine. It could be this week or it could be next month, there's no telling. My salesman said based off how they have been getting allocations to expect an allocation this month (November).
If you look around forums and online, you'll find that typical wait times from when the order is placed to delivery is 4-6 months. The longer wait times seem to be for the 2SS/1LEs and ZL1s. Patience is the key. With the rumor that the Camaro is surviving for a 2024 model year, I wouldn't stress it. If all else fails, there's always the 7th gen Mustang. Right? If you're not the patient type, you might want to try to find in transit that meets your needs. |
