Shooting for 10s, any advise?

Here in another month or so when the temps cool down we're getting a track rental. Really trying to get that 10.9 or better. Current PB is in my sig, and that was at 2700ish feet and at full weight.
Really wanting to maximize the bolt on setup I have now (rotofab,LT2/LT5, 2in headers and e85 and a drag pack). I plan on trying to shed some weight off this thing, adding a ram air plate (making one) and opening up the LT2 a little more.
Should I drop the NPP muffler?
I plan on removing seats, interior
Trying to get .3s off shouldn't be too hard, especially if weather cooperates. Bonus if I manage to trap higher.
Any other ideas to try and get ET down with the current setup?

Did you take the plastic shroud off in front of the air box?

I haven't yet. I need to. I heard there were pretty good gains with that. That's the one that you have to take out for the velossa right?

Yes it’s a no brainer really. Definitely worth something

Unfortunately Velossa tech doesn’t make one for the lt/base model front end. Most of the gains are probably from taking the shroud off anyways

i think the trans tune and weight is all you've got left unless you want to install an over the radiator air intake.

No need to drop the suitcase. Take weight from the middle to the front. Disconnect the front sway bar for weight transfer, passenger seat is easy to take out and saves 58 lbs. Rear seat back rest is about 17 lbs, 28 lb if you take the seat bottom out also. Good luck

Get the Underdrive pulley as well. You should be there in cool weather especially with an LT1
. Like laynlo said , pull the front swaybar, belly pan, seats , etc . Launch off of idle .

Lightweight brakes will get you a 1/10 and a better 60ft. It’s 50lbs off the front plus less rotating mass. Got to have skinnies or you’ll just be defeating the purpose

There's definitely a few things I need to do over winter. Brakes, UDP, maybe a few other things.
I did pull the block plate and make a makeshift ram air plate for it.
I did manage to go to a TNT last night with the seats out and in great air ran a 10.9 @ 128. Pretty stoked!

Appreciate it man
I didn't know that about the skinnies
So the brakes aren't a street friendly thing either?
