Unforeseen Circumstance of White Leather

I'm not really complaining here because my enjoyment of the white leather far outweighs this little irritation. Anyway, with the way the center screen is angled down, it catches every bit of light reflecting off the white leather surface when the sun is shining through the windshield. It renders part of the screen nearly useless.

In the grand scheme of things, most people aren't constantly looking at the screen anyway, but I figured I'd post this for anyone that wants the white leather...just be prepared if you enjoy looking at the gorgeous touchscreen.

By the way, this photo is taken at about chest level. At eye level, the glare is even worse.

It's not a big issue for me. I just know some folks are incredibly anal about such things.

Coming from a 2012 Grand Sport Corvette with that archaic Nav/Audio center display and the horrendous levels of glare it got... I've been able to overlook this issue with my own CW interior reflecting on the MyLink.

Is there someone making a pre-cut kit for this?

The anti glare shield helps a bit but I would rush out to get it. It's one of those learn to live with things

Chevy should have used a matte finish on the infotainment screen. That reflects near zero and actually gives you an even clearer view of the display.

I'm not sure they could have used a matte finish and still retain the capacitive nature. All matte finish touchscreens I've ever seen were resistive, meaning you actually had to put force behind your touch. I prefer capacitive and will deal with the glare in order not to have to deal with a resistive touchscreen.

Sure they can. In my job I work on hundreds of pieces of equipment all the time with non-glare full color touch screens that don't reflect, don't show finger prints, and don't require you to push hard at all.
