Thanks for sharing. Great road focused review and good to see the Camaro get another W.

I was on track with a PP2 and it was very fast, 1-2 sec faster than everyone else out there. I told him about the manual saying it need extra coolers to run on track, he hasn't had any issues yet without them. The Cup 2 traction is just a little better than the G3s. His Cup 2s looked like they were worn out already.

Pretty much the same results as just about everyother review of the 6th gen pony cars. Camaro is better performer and dialed in better. Mustang is better interior and more comfortable.

I did get a chuckle out of the demented face comment lol.

Having had a 15GT/PP(1) that I had about a Grand in Steeda chassis pieces under it, the 1LE is the better car. Like the article there's +/- in certain spots but overall the 1LE is what I prefer.

Thanks!

Cup2 tires on a non-GT350 Mustang make no sense to me at all. Too expensive for the car they're on imo.

The PP2 seems kind of like a ringer version of the Mustang for car magazine reviews. It's stiff suspension and excessive tires will make it a chore to drive daily. The 1LE on the other hand can match it on a track yet makes a good daily driver on typical roads and with narrower front tires it won't tramline as badly.

Put the same tires on the Camaro and Mustang and the Camaro will destroy the PP2 Mustang.

Still...props to Ford for the Mustang's exterior styling and great visibility. I wouldn't kick either of these cars out of my garage.

The love affair the C&D guys have with the GM alpha platform continues. Despite all the cosmetic and ergonomic shortcomings of the 6th gen (I don't agree, but whatever), the platform continues to shine through.

They're trying to make a worse car perform better. So long as the numbers are where they need to be, the Ford Fanboys will think they're just as good.

The end result is the Ford is a better daily, the Camaro is a better performance car. Hopefully Camaro ups it's daily cred some next gen.

Results as expected - but why test these cars without going to a track?

I would say probably because most people that buy them will never take them to the track

Lol - PP2 and 1LE are track packages...and the most aggressive track Pony cars you can buy before getting into the big HP GT500s and ZL1 1LEs.

Whether or not most people will track them isn't the question, those people should buy base GTs and 2SS's. Track package cars need to be tested on the track, the very place they were designed and built for. The PP2 tires are a testament to this, as is the PP2 tramline issue.
