2016 Camaro SS Vitesse Motosports Throttle Controller Install Guide

The 2016 Camaro SS utilizes the same Vitesse throttle controller offering as the 2014 Corvette. This install guide is both an overview and guide.

I ordered the 2014 Corvette part from here: http://vitesse-motorsports.com/throt...orvette-c7.htm

Direct Link: https://youtu.be/ijGWMdoXVwI

Note: When ordering this controller, Vitesse didn't provide any details for shipping. It showed up via USPS 3 days after I ordered.

My review:

Sledge, great video. Did you have a chance to drive with it? I've noticed that the ECU takes about 100 miles to adjust to the controller. The car was really jerky when I first installed but it's since calmed down quite a bit. Nice and smooth now.

I had the Vitesse on my '14 SS. Made all the difference in the world! I do have a question though. How does this impact the mode selector???? From touring to sport to track?

Just drove around for about 30 minutes playing with the mode selector and the Vitesse settings. Overall the modes still feel the same, but the car takes off quicker with less mashing of the gas peddle. Shifts in Tour all the way to Track feel the same.

I have a video incoming showing how each setting worked.

All it does is it adds another layer of fine tuning to those modes depending on the setting of the controller. Track mode already increases the throttle response but the controller allows you to dial it down or up even more. Snow mode decreases the throttle response, the controller allows you to ramp it up or dial it down even more also. If you want it to function like the stock settings then just set it to SP0. It's like it isn't even there.

I'm guessing you don't have to unplug it after each trip? Very interesting, I might order it after I get a feel for how it comes stock.

Considering it doesn't put your vehicle out of range of its normal rev cycle, but only adjusts on how quickly it gets there, I would be hard pressed to see a warranty getting void.

Sledge, I went ahead and bought this earlier in the morning, thanks to your videos. Did you ever find a permanent spot to mount this? I'd like to have it go in my center console so it is out of view... that may be above my technical knowhow
