Current model year 2021 vehicles in general won’t be appraised as generously because they are too new and there isn’t a book price on most makes and models. If the chip shortage continues to affect production until at least the end of this year like the experts predict I would expect higher offers on 2021 vehicles down the road a few months. The lack of new inventory of all makes and models is going to get worse before it gets better. Only thing I can see that could limit Camaro used values is if you wait into the fall to sell, but even that is not predictable like in a normal year...

I make that crystal clear when advertising. Transfer of ownership??? You go to your bank to have the title notarized and it’s done.
While I prefer dealing in cash myself, it's simply not feasible when you're talking about $40,000 to be working with cash - on EITHER end of the transaction.

My comment about transfer of ownership was specifically tied in to the process in terms of waiting for the check to clear (bank checks can have "stop payment" applied - many don't know that), when to sign the title over, etc.

In that instance I insist on wire transfer only

I was offered $41.3k for my 18' SS 1LE and boy am I super tempted to take the offer. I just don't have any idea what to replace it with that isn't super inflated in price as well? Outside of the German stuff (been there, done that for almost 20 years) anyone have suggestions?

Is the Camaro your only car or is it a fun car? If it’s a fun car..sell and wait for the market to come down. It’s not that difficult. If it’s your only then, then you obviously don’t have that luxury. Prepare yourself for a lot of shopping and I would lean towards buying new.

Typically it is extremely difficult to put a stop payment on a bank check. It needs to be indemnified and the payee needs to sign off on the stop payment.

I’m making the move this Monday. I am being offered $1000 more than I paid for my 2017 1SS brand new in 2017. It’s an automatic with 4700 miles on it. Only option besides the A8 is NPP exhaust. I have added protective film to the nose, mirrors, and bottom half of the car on each side, plus paint matched GM rock guards. I believe the good offer is due to the super low miles with only paint protection modifications...and the crazy market for them now.

I’m going to take the offer and use 11K of it to pay off my Jeep Grand Cherokee, then I’m going to hang onto the 26K or so that’s left, and purchase a new 2SS with a manual transmission, NPP and moonroof. Everything else I want(leather, HUD, BOSE, interior light package, all come with the 2SS. I’ll start looking this Fall and I’ll buy when the prices come back to earth a bit. I currently own my 1SS outright. I wanted a manual 2SS all along, but I bought what was in my budget back in 2017. I’m thrilled that I’m in a position where I own it outright now, and owe very little on my Jeep, so I’m finally able to have the two vehicles I have wanted to own together. My Jeep GC with the Hemi, and my weekend toy, a 6M 2SS Camaro. 🤘🏼

Does it have MRC? LE?

Vroom is going to try and rip off an unsuspecting buyer then. You can get a 2017 used at a regular car dealer cheaper than what vRoom wants to buy it off you for. vroom will sell that at a min for 45k, maybe more.

Even with tight supply that is a farce what they will sell it for. I can't believe someone would be that dumb to buy it that inflated.

No MRC and it is not an LE.

Yes and no. There are many instances where these cars are going for close to original sticker price, if not more. I can't believe people are buying these either.
