Most folks buy sports cars based on emotion. A few thousand dollars and trunk storage issues are not going to dim the glow once a buyer falls in love with it.

People are buying more Mustangs and Challengers because they prefer how it looks and how it makes them feel.

What point? Nobody mentioned the I4 or the V6 in this thread apart from listing it as a previous purchase. Zero bashing, zero criticism. I had a 6th gen V6 2LT, too, and it was a fine car.

I reread this thread to this page and saw no bashing comments on the Turbo 4 or V6 Camaros either but some on the so called visibility issues with them. If people have visibility issues then they don’t need to buy a Camaro but a SUV/truck or car that has larger windows.

I like the group ambivalence Number 3 with steam blowing out his ears, the timely Rolls meme. It's a healthier outlook than reading car blog comments and seeing the bev zealots needing to prove they have the baddest cars in the world, Or the lux brand d*ck stackers cut down another brand that's the same basic specs with just different design nuances.

Wow, I am really laughing. Steam has never come out of my ears due to anything on or around this website. Well other than the time that someone said my wife's two degrees in marketing and many years as Marketing Manager on Corvette were meaningless and they knew more about marketing the Camaro than she did. But then I just remembered this is the internet and I laughed.

I was just referring to following comment: “It's not that the cheaper Camaros suck, but the other cars in that same class are generally better cars, more ergonomic and performance is either a wash or better in the speed ranges to be likely encountered.“

I see that the term “bashing” was too harsh. But was going along with the theme title of the thread. I was just surprised to see comments that the “cheaper“ Camaro is generally not as good as other cars in it’s class. This is a Camaro forum right?

Yeah, the 1le i4/v6 Carmaro's have no equal in value for track worthiness/performance. It did take me a while to decide on the SS over the v6. While i don't regret getting the v8, having the v6 and $10k to spend on tracking a car that's cheaper to track would have probably gotten me out to more than the 4-5 events i do a year.

This is going to be controversial, but below LT1 trims, is there a point to getting the Camaro over something like a WRX, Civic R, and other cars in the 30-38K range? I think this is a big problem. It's not a problem for those that are looking for the max performance, but in reality, this is a small subset, compared to the people just looking for a "fun car".

The Civic Type R is gonna cost 8 to 10k more than a V6 Camaro, realistically. The Type R is still being marked up these days, despite being out for a few years. Pre-Covid you could get a V6 Camaro for mid to upper 20k all day.

The lower trims are still really good performance carsbfor their realistic price point. Plus how many RWD choices do you have? You can count them on one hand. The market is tiny.

I am genuinely curious how V6 1LE stacks up against a 370Z. I am guessing the Camaro is better since 370Z is riding off an ancient platform at this point.
